PSM was established in 1987. Its founder, Peter Mayall (a keen outdoor enthusiast, mountain leader and BCU canoe & kayak coach) grew the business successfully and in 1997 he decided to open a shop in his home town of Hay On Wye.

Besides the electrical goods and travel accessories Peter built on his range of outdoor clothing and camping equipment.
